About Dr. Olubunmi Esan
Dr. Esan is a highly skilled vascular surgeon with extensive expertise in both complex open and endovascular techniques. He has a special interest in limb salvage, providing life-changing care to patients with critical vascular conditions. Driven by a passion for serving medically underserved populations, Dr. Esan is dedicated to ensuring all patients receive the highest standard of care.
Dr. Esan earned his medical degree from the prestigious College of Medicine at the University of Lagos. He completed his residency training at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and The Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY. After five years of practice as an attending general and vascular surgeon in Kentucky, Dr. Esan further honed his skills by completing a fellowship in vascular surgery at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Throughout his career, Dr. Esan has been committed to advancing the field of vascular surgery and improving patient outcomes. He is a proud member of professional organizations such as the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS), the American College of Surgeons (ACS), and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI).
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Esan is actively involved with a nonprofit organization that provides care for patients with end-stage renal disease requiring hemodialysis. His dedication to underserved communities and his patients’ well-being are central to his practice philosophy.
When not in the clinic or operating room, Dr. Esan enjoys traveling and playing soccer, activities that keep him connected to both his roots and his community.
